Being sick for the bulk of the summer kind of cut in to some fun things Ruby and I planned to do while Perry was at work but we had tons of fun when he came home. Here are some of the highlights of summer at our house.

We are very proud of our garden this year. We planted a little late due to some other events in our lives but we managed to produce the largest potted garden yet, since our marriage. We had almost twenty tomato plants, beans, herbs and some other things as well. Among our "other" category we developed this breed of plant. If you are interested in growing one of your own just let us know and we will fill you in on the secret.

Ruby has been a big help in watering our plants. It has become one of her FAVORITE things to do. When we say "its time to water the garden" she gets all excited and starts to smile and kick and reach for someone to pick her up and take her outside.

Ruby holds the hose with one hand and splashes with the other hand while Perry holds her. They are so cute?

One night (while I was really really sick) we were completely out of pajamas for Ruby. We were a little behind on the laundry so I dug out this 2T shirt for her to wear to bed and she thought it was the coolest thing ever. It is now part of her regular jammy rotation.

This is us on the fourth of July. We watched the fireworks at Ann Morrison Park. Tons of fun! Ruby thought it was great. She is all about lights and color and she didn't mind the noise one bit.
